The Countdown is a short film that deconstructs Hollywood's happy ending. It is a detached ending scene, devoid of plot, pared back to the essential. A feeling of closure, distilled from a non-existent movie. The work combines the type of voice-over often heard in the final moments of a feel-good blockbuster, with the image of a green screen backdrop. As the backdrop gradually fills the frame, the film itself becomes a green screen. It serves as a blank canvas for the imagination of the spectator.
